In short: The roof space is where quick fixes hide: insulation pushed against downlights, gaps over rooms and ducts squashed. A thermal camera finds the gaps from below.

Downlight clearance

Insulation packed against recessed downlights can overheat the fitting. We flag it as a safety hazard and refer it to a licensed electrician.

Gaps in the insulation

A thermal camera shows cold or hot patches where batts have moved, often after trades have been in the roof.

Ducts

Crimped or poorly supported ducts reduce heating and cooling performance, and are easy to spot from the manhole.

Access

We inspect the roof space where it is safe and accessible, and note areas we could not reach.

Can I fix the insulation myself?

Moving batts is simple, but keep clear of wiring and fittings.
